Hey, I'm Carla Andrews, and I can't tell you how excited I am to talk about a topic that I've been thinking about for quite some time now. Interestingly, we're in the middle of a pandemic. And of course, you would think that this is a time to get a lot of things done. But in actuality, ah, lot of us have been feeling like we're running out of time. How does that happen? I mean, let me ask you a couple of questions. Does your day get away from you? Do you reach the end and wonder how in the world you've gotten through the same number of hours as everyone else and somehow accomplished nothing, Especially when you're comparing yourself to what all your friends are telling you that ever accomplished and feel, businesses there build homes. Gosh, they build lives. So focusing of time means, of course, becoming this really rigid and how you manage what you're doing, all right. And now this is because time is a slippery thing and will easily get away from you if you don't grab a hold of it literally like both hands. This means using all the tools available to you starting with to do lists, calendar schedules and ending, possibly with the ability to say a single word. Well, in often off course, you know that What? That word is, right? No. A lot of times we just have to say no to get a lot of our things done. But sometimes, of course, being firm with your time means that you're not letting letting get away from you. You're focusing on making sure that you have ample ability to get the things done. You need most to get done. But how do we do all this? How do we prioritize all of this? Well, in the end, you have to just you you really have just as much time as you did before, right? But now you're the one others envy for your ability to get things done. Let's see if the following scenario sounds familiar to you. You're working on a project and you get distracted. You brush it off, you know? So just a distraction. You know, as like a one time deal and you keep working minutes later, you're distracted again. You find yourself shifting over to another project. How did that happen? Oh, the phone rang. So now you're on a phone call and then you remember you need to check some emails 02 hours later, right in the day, You realize you never got around to the first project you were working on. I know. If happened to all of us, you could chalk this up as distractions again. Right? Because we do live now in a technical digital world where everyone's online. And then, of course, this there has put us in a place of being activity addicts. And if you don't have our full attention on something, you know what the outcome becomes. It it won't be whole either. That could mean. But the interesting thing is, this could happen Any for your health. It could happen in your relationships. It could happen at work. Gosh, it could happen for your purpose. And we all know a lot of times our passion is the last thing on the bucket. So in order to give something for all of us to get to that next step off organizing and regaining their focus, it takes priority, and it takes focus. So what do I mean by focus? Well, what is focused if you look at the dictionary, focus is defined as a center of interest off of an activity, right? So if you're working on something and you're not putting in, uh, really were not placing it in this in the center of the interest of activity, you're not giving it your all. You can't work on 20 different things at one time. Something has to be the main thing that you're doing for that period of time. Focus on that, placing it in the chain of our priority. And then, of course, from that space, you're able to revolve the other tasks as secondary or third project that needs to be done. Now, multitasking can be great and seeing some off, some even claim it as sometimes being necessary. I get that I'm a mom. Ah, business owner, a wife, a daughter. However, multitasking still requires focus. It doesn't matter if you want to live life as a multi tasker, and then, of course, or as a single tax it for that matter. Either way, if you're going to get stuff done, you have to learn how to focus on the task at hand and refrain from the distractions that break that focus, you've got to get in your flow. Now, this might sign a lot. But, hey, you're focusing on it, right? The key is the follow a certain set of steps to have a process in place that really brings attention and helps you keep you focused and staying on track for that moment when you might get sidetracked. ID with. That said, My name is Carla Andrews, and I'm excited that you've been able to hear me speak about regaining your focus, talk to you so
