the Caribbean, known for its beauty and brilliant weather, sought to harness its natural talent to showcase varied architectural solutions to housing and energy problems. Caribbean Export challenged some of the region's best creative minds to offer their take on building pathways to sustainable living, using most of what exists in the region. They were asked to produce designs which respond to the needs of a Caribbean climate, are sensitive to the social, cultural and climatic requirements and use a variety of materials, including those indigenous to the Caribbean. The displays you will see represent the work of three Caribbean architects and their perspective on sustainable pathways.
