the older I get, the deeper I appreciate the happy days of my childhood. Who following narrative is a fictional account based on a true story? In a televised interview in the late 19 seventies, Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas said, They say you write a biography to tell lies and write fiction to tell the truth. The audience laughed. But most of us are comfortable with the truth about our lives. Even if we ourselves think they are routine and unremarkable, either through our own fault or events outside our control or perhaps a combination, we ensure that we make the mistakes necessary to help us grow. Even the great men and women in our past. I needed to make mistakes so that they would have the wisdom and courage to help others. So I write this story, which contains many stories within it as both a confession to those who knew me and a social commentary on the world as I see it.
