Christ's church was founded in the 19 forties. Back in the day when there were mill villages and in order not to travel so far to church on foot, they head to locations. But the heyday of the church was actually in the mid 19 sixties, and today there are very few left that have been there since the beginning. The membership has declined little by little over the last few years, with only 15 members left. It was time for a change. Christ Church decided to have a new pastor come in, passionate about growing the church. They had to raise cash, so they sold the parsonage. They tried a few things with that money, but nothing stuck. Nothing. It seemed like the church was going to close its doors pretty soon until one day Anonymous member decided to help with so much history and a great location in a booming town right outside of Charlotte in order to stay alive. The first thing I realized was the need to renovate the church and turn it into the cutest church in Belmont that you've ever seen. In fact, on another note, we also just changed the website name to church in Belmont dot com, so you can find us easier. We realized we need the youth from Belmont here, and we're going to start preparing events where we can get to know our community. And we love for you and your family and your kids to come and join us as we start to grow again. We are small. We love Jesus and we can't wait to meet you.
