This exercise will teach you how to set up and use the Oculus Quest and familiarize you with VR interfaces and controls. This exercise should be completed in an indoor space with a minimum of six ft by six ft of open floor space. If the Oculus has turned all the way off, you can turn it on by pressing and holding the oval button on the side of the head set. The status light will turn on to indicate the headset has turned on. Once the headset is powered on, the headset will briefly display the Oculus logo Before starting this setup sequence. You can now put the headset on to do this. Place the display over your eyes before pulling the elastic straps over your head. Next you will need to tighten the straps to fit your head to tighten the strap that goes around the head, pull the two plastic bands apart. Then to tighten the top strap on velcro the top and adjust the length to fit. Before replacing the velcro. One Oculus Quest controller is held in each hand, similar to a water gun. The middle finger goes on the paddle button on the side of the controller and the index finger goes on the trigger button facing away from you.
