Speckner is a freelance voice-over actor and writer. He has spent his adult life and career speaking with all kinds of people in all sorts of different settings. Speckner has a great deal of experience in public speaking, with 30 years experience in pastoral ministry. As a man, Speckner speaks English with a deeper, resonating voice that has a motivational effect on his listeners.
Born in Colorado, but over the course of his life, he has lived in many places in the United States. He now resides in Brandon, Mississippi; however, he doesn’t speak with the highly recognizable Mississippi accent that his wife possesses.
Speckner has gained a high level of education in his life, earning a bachelors degree and masters degree, but he has always tried to keep a common touch with everyone he meets. He has been able to communicate well with older folks and young people; and as he has had the opportunity to teach on both the junior high and post graduate level.
Speckner’s voice can be characterized as a well-spoken, friendly tone that people find relatable. He has learned to be persuasive while he speaks. He has a way of winning over his audience with a sense of wisdom and authority. Rather than seeming to talk down to his hearers, he has a conversational quality to his voice, as if he is speaking directly to each person. Possessing a dry sense of humor and carefree attitude, Speckner can be humorous, and would be excellent for cartooning, even Donald Duck.
