I'm an 'Aussie/Brit' ... born and raised in various parts of Australia. I completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting, marketing and law in 1989 at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia.
After working for PWC during 1990, I then left Australia in 1991 to start a business in London. Since then I've had a variety of serious adventures in about fifty countries around the world. It would be safe to say that travelling itself became my primary life-passion.
I've sailed yachts in Israel's Red Sea, scuba-dived in Egypt, paraglided in Peru, kayaked in the Himalayas, traversed India by bus, snow-boarded in the Alps, hiked volcanoes in Ecuador, and managed bars in the insane nightlife of Japan. I even wrote a successful novel called 'Roppongi' about that Japan adventure!
Returning to Australia in 2004, I plugged back into the 'Matrix' for a while, and (perhaps not unsurprisingly!) found the corporate world relatively unfulfilling. In 2008 I quit the 'first-world' altogether, for a more tranquil and meaningful life in the Southern-Sierran township of Vilcabamba, Ecuador ... where I still live happily today!
These days in beautiful Vilcabamba, I have a real-estate/construction business, and we also fabricate our proprietary brand of modular-homes ... all housed under the 'InstaCasa Ecuador' umbrella. I continue to write, and also provide professional editing and copy-writing services by way of my personal website.
