I am currently a Radio Personality on KTEP (88.5 fm) here in El Paso, TX. I am also a student at UTEP beginning my senior year in the fall of 2013. I'm 21 years old majoring in communications studies and minoring in commercial music and recording.
My voice changed when I was in the 7th grade to a low, baritone-like voice and since then has gotten much deeper over the years. (I even earned the nickname "Froggy" my freshman year of high school since the students believed I had a frog in my throat, that being the reason why my voice was so deep, that name still sticking with me to this day) I wanted to put my unique voice to good use by getting into the radio business which I did in the summer of 2010 when I was 18 about to start college. For 3 years now I have been an on-air personality using my voice to make commercials, tag promos, connect with listeners and get my voice out there.
I have been told many times that my voice is very distinct, one-of-a-kind and very deep and powerful. I like to describe my voice being as low as Barry White's, but a little bit higher than the late Michael Clarke Duncan's tone. My voice ranges all over the place from radio to TV, cartoons to movie trailers and much, much more. I can also hit the high range if necessary, and can sing a little bit as well although I prefer the lower notes.
I am brand new to this voices.com deal, but being an aspiring voice over artist is something I've always found interesting and would love to try if given the opportunity. My contact info is available, and I check my email at least twice on a daily basis. If any of you reading this have more questions or wants to leave feedback PLEASE DO!!! Your advice and ideas are more than welcome.
