Southern, Old Fashioned, Educated. My natural speaking voice is the byproduct of six consecutive generations of South Carolina living, but is not comparable to what would commonly be referred to as a modern "redneck" accent. "I's" are often flattened as in the word "Island", "OW's" are shortened as in the word "Pillow", "G's" are dropped as in "Swimming", and syllables are often doubled, with words like "Chair" sounding like "Chay-err". "R's" are often a little more harsh than what is commonly known as an antebellum or Charleston accent, but still southern nonetheless. This is my natural speaking voice, and over the years it has often been suggested that I record audio books due to my ability to tell and read stories with a classic, "Andy Griffith" style voice. In regards to wavelength or tone, my voice would be qualified as a high bass or baritone.
