Kate is a music and culture journalist, DJ and radio presenter based in east London. She is a regular culture critic at the Guardian and Observer, has a regular radio show on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide FM and has DJ'ed everywhere from Kensington Palace to BBC Woman's Hour's 70th birthday party.
A newcomer to the VO industry, Kate's voice is vibrant, bright and clear yet husky and sassy, a trustworthy millennial tone with a knowing wink.
Already she has voiced Noel Gallagher's album 2017/18 TV and radio advert, promo ads for Apple Music's Beats 1 station, corporate podcast adverts for WeTransfer and a YouTube advert for Time Out London and Smirnoff. Her voice is great for upbeat promos, warm documentary narration and engaging reads with a light touch.
Kate can regularly be seen on the Guardian website, as the face of its 2017 Facebook Live series, interviewing the likes of Wolfgang Tillmans, Caitlin Moran, Krishnan Guru-Murthy and David Rodigan, and on its radio series for cult east London radio station NTS, co-hosting with musical luminaries Neneh Cherry, Stewart Lee, Primal Scream's Bobby Gillespie and more.
As a journalist with over 12 years' experience, who has contributed to the Guardian, Observer New Review, The Times, The Independent, Q, NME, Dazed, i-D, Vice, Mixmag, The Quietus, Evening Standard, BBC Music and more, Kate can write quality scripts that will lift your VO beyond the regular.
