way live in a society of more. We want more money, more time, more stuff. But more isn't always better. Today. Getting into college is more competitive, and getting a job is more difficult. Theatric class size in our public schools is 25 kids. That's 25 kids in one classroom, 25 kids for every teacher. If everyone raises their hand, they have a 4% chance of being called on 4%. For the vast majority of students, school is no different today than it was 100 years ago. Every class is a set curriculum. Every school, a set calendar curriculum must be followed. The class must move forward. Our schools can't meet the needs of every student. Today, only one out of 3/8 graders go on to earn a college degree. But more than eight out of 10 jobs require college level skills. Gap is clear, and the bridge is an education tailored to the needs of each student. In 1979 Sylvan learning was created based on an idea. Every child has great potential. Unlocking that potential requires a custom learning experience. It is not cookie cutter, its not one size fits all discover what makes them tick, what each student knows and what needs to be taught. Based on that insight design a custom learning plan to target specific learning needs, build mastery of skills, facilitate the application of those skills and everyday challenges, and enhance the learning experience by combining the passion of dedicated teachers with a state of the art platform that synchronizes classroom learning, supplemental instruction and real world application. So how about more more report cards on the fridge? More confidence? More college graduates, more proud parents, more success, more potential realized. MAWR Dreams fulfilled.
