Coming up next, a mother of two young Children expresses her frustration with waiting for another stimulus package. Will americans ever see that money your source of information on real issues with real people. You're listening to K. Y. H. News, welcome back to K. Y. H. Dues. I'm kim Hogan americans everywhere are still waiting for that second stimulus package that could potentially help with financial struggles during this time. I'm here with Chesley maldonado who was one of the many americans who could benefit from this package. Chesley tell us a little bit about yourself and what you have going on. Ah Yes. So I am a stay at home mom, I homeschool both my Children, my Children are seven and two. Um and I, you know, take care of them while my husband's working and we only have one income. So the stimulus package would really help me. Okay, so you have two young Children, correct? Yeah. And I understand you got some additional funds from the previous stimulus package, correct? Yes, that was very helpful. We really needed it. Money was getting pretty tight. Um so we were able to pay off a few bills um to bring down some of our debt, which is kind of piling up. So it was helpful. So we've been hearing for months now that we're supposed to be getting a second stimulus package and there's been a lot of back and forth about who qualifies how much we're getting when we're getting it, etcetera. Uh So I can imagine as someone with two kids and bills to take care of. That might be pretty frustrating for you extremely, I check the stimulus package news every single day, it is extremely frustrating to see, oh, it could be, here's what you could get. Oh, here's when they might finally talk over this part and that part of it and the democrats say this and president trump says this and we're going to call off the talks and everything else. It's been really frustrating. I am really, I was really looking forward to, um, having some additional funds because you know, I'm really trying to get out of debt here. Like it's crazy with one income, it's very hard. You have to constantly think about paying bills and then one thing or another comes up. I had to spend nearly a grand to get my car our maintenance and you know, that's not something that we just have lying around all the time. So you know, we have kids and I just had to buy some clothes for my kids. Like it's hard. And with the coronavirus, it's also emotionally difficult because you know, my child can't go to the clubs and things that she was signed up for and things like that. You know, and at this point I'm looking forward to some money. So I can at least take her someplace is because you have to like register for everything and pre pay for things and all of that. So having some money would be really helpful right now. So I'm very frustrated. Yes, I would imagine so. And would you say that the longer you're made to wait for this second stimulus package um the more difficult things would be for you in terms of making ends meet and all of that. The thing is I'm trying to find alternatives at this point. Um I'm just trying to figure out what else I can possibly do to save money, you know, um clip some coupons, maybe just set aside some money, just really budget very tightly. I'm also trying to feed my family healthier food at this point, I am looking into organic foods and natural foods because we want to be healthy. We won't, we don't want to be, you know, caught with health issues that are caused by eating crappy food food, but crappy food is cheaper than the healthy food. So it's really hard to try and juggle all of this, you know, so the more I try to do better by my family, the more expensive it gets. So yeah, it's going to get harder.
