The COVID-19 pandemic made health disparities worse and highlighted shortcomings of an unfair system that puts people of color at a disadvantage. Leaders at our Foundation here, often from people throughout healthcare who want to address equity and transform the system. They know healthcare's roles must change, but don't know where to start or have existing efforts that feel disjointed. That's why the foundation funded raising the bar to provide an actionable framework specifically for health care. It was developed by those who give get and pay for care and was shaped by those who experience inequities. The framework can help healthcare organizations set goals, shape advocacy, inform workforce practices and improve equity measures.
