In January 2003. Tom and Kimberly Aberdeen met in their first grade class and quickly became best friends as Kimberly's parents lived in a different district. They went to different high schools, but they met again in city college. It was there. They started dating and were married a year later just before the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Tina named after Kimberly's grandmother. After graduation, Tom secured a job repairing engines of the small airstrip about a half mile from their rented apartment. Kimberly became a provider at a daycare just up the street allowing her to care for Tina while she worked every weekday. Tom would leave the house at 6 30 A ma little more than an hour before Kimberly went off to the day care at 7 45 on Monday, March 13th, 2023. Tom returned home for an early lunch at around 11:30 a.m. while finding the front door ajar did not immediately concern him as Kim would sometimes leave the house in a hurry. His suspicions that something was very wrong came when he found the front room in disarray a table in front of the couch had been tipped over and a lamp lay on the floor in pieces. There was a smear on the carpet that appeared to be blood and another smear on the wall where a chunk of the plaster had broken off. Tom called out for his wife, but there was no answer. He quickly made a sweep of the apartment but Kimberly and Tina were not to be found. He ran over to the daycare but they said Kimberly had not shown up for work that morning. At this point, he notified the police, they responded immediately. And after speaking with Tom secured the apartment as a possible crime scene.
