An essential skill in baking is creaming together butter and sugar in order to do this, you need to bring the butter to room temperature about 70 to 75 F in order to do this. The best method is to fill a glass with boiling hot water, let the water sit in the glass for a couple of minutes, then dump all of the water out and then place the glass upside down over your stick of butter in a couple of minutes. Your butter will be nice and soft. Once your butter is soft, cut it into chunks about one cc large. This way, they will cream into the sugar a whole lot more easily. Finally, if you're still having trouble getting the butter to incorporate into the sugar, you can put it into the microwave for just a few seconds. If you do this, be very careful that you do not melt any of the butter. Thanks, join me later. For more tips.
