Seymour the turtle was sick and tired of hearing Bob the Rabbit, boasting about how fast he waas why Bob said he could outrun any animal thereabouts and would pay $200 to any animal that could beat him in a race. While Seymour decided he'd take the vet, Bob just laughed and laughed. What finally agreed to the race from the old wooden fence to the barn about 300 ft away. You're gonna lose $200 Seymour, he said. We'll meet by the fence at nine o'clock tomorrow morning. Now Seymour was a smart turtle, though he came at 9 a.m. Next day, Bob shows up. There's a bunch of tables with food and drink and a punch bowl, and lots of other rabbits and turtles showed up to, and all of them were getting ready to party after the race. Well, Bob decides he'd like some punch, but Seymour says, Hey, Bob, save that until after I win the race. Bob gulps down a cup or two of the punch and laughs this year, punches good carrot juice and bade could go good together. We'll see more. Just smile to herself. Okay, well, it's time to start the race, Bob says, Well, you go on ahead, I'll catch up and then downs another cup of punch. Well, 20 minutes later, Bob so drunk, he can barely stand up, but he's having a good time. But if someone yells at him, Hey, Seymour's almost to the barn. Bob says no problem, and he winds up to run like the wind he heads off of high speed. But when he goes to jump over the fence, he don't quite make it, and he hits his head on the fence and gets knocked out. A half hour later, Seymour comes back to collect his winning. The moral of this story is if you'd be a fool at a party and you'll soon lose your money.
