What do you think about when you think about life? What comes to your mind? Have you ever did any reflection concerning life? Well, when I think about life, usually it goes back to the Gospel. And so in this episode, I really am excited to share my thoughts about life and my reflections from them thing. Yeah, I'm going to do something a little different this episode I'm going to tell the gospel story. But in a narrative showing that the story of Christ Jesus is a story about life. After doing some reflection about the world life, I realized that all throughout Jesus time, from birth to death and the resurrection life is a main theme. So this episode will be Scripture heavy. But at the end, I have a surprise from my wonderful wife to close out the show. So to begin the story, we see that a life was born. Luke, Chapter two, Verse 67 says, While they were there, Mary and Joseph, that's who was talking about while they were there. The time came for the baby to be born meaning Jesus, and she gave birth to her first born, a son. She wrapped him in cloths, cloths and placed him in a manger because there was no guests room available for them. So the story begins with a life be important in that life is Jesus. But about some two years. About two years later, the story continues where we see lives were sacrificed in Matthew. Chapter two versus 16 through 17. It says when hayride King Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious. He gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under in accordance with the time he had learned from the Maggie. Then what was said through the Prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled. Ah, voices heard in Rama weeping and great mourning. Rachel weeping for her Children and refusing to be comforted because they are no more. Now, this was a new appalling act by King Herod. I wanted to stop here because this is just crazy. Eso About two years after Christ, Jesus is born King Herod, in his quest to ensure no profit, psyche will take his place. He orders the murder of Children all boys aged two and under. And this is just crazy. I mean, Children, this entire city, young Children, young babes are just killed. It's a horrible, terrifying act and I couldn't help, but I had to think. And I wondered I was like, Man, I wonder if we take into consideration the sacrifice of these innocents Children, these innocents, babes, When we reflect on the birth of Christ Jesus because yes, you know, a life was born Jesus. Life was born. But the story also consists of lives that were taken away, murder and sacrificed. So do we take in consideration the sacrifice of the many Children who died? It made me wonder if when Jesus ultimately carried the cross If he ever thought about that night, I wonder if that night was ever told to him I wonder if those Children were inspiration for him as he sacrificed his life as their lives were sacrificed to. So when we tell this story about life, we can't forget about those who are sacrificed As we continue, we've seen that new life is revealed in John Chapter 14 versus six. Jesus says I am the way, the truth and the life. This is just one of several examples that I have where Jesus reveals new life, what life is, he says. I am the way, the truth and the life. He goes on in his ministry and says that he is the bread of life, that he is the resurrection and the life that he is, the life that gives light toe all humankind. So this time is also about reflection as to what life is. We think life just consists of breathing, but Jesus comes to the scene and says it. It's so much more than just that. He is the life. He is the bread of life, and the life of Jesus is what gives meaning to life. As the story continues, we see that a life was sacrificed just as we saw before, where the Children's lives were sacrificed. Now we get to the point we're Christ. Life is sacrificed. Isaiah, Chapter 53 versus 10 Through 11 says Yes, it was the Lord's will to crush him, meaning Jesus and cause him to suffer. And though the Lord make makes him suffer, and though the Lord makes his life and offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand after he has suffered. He will see the light of life and be satisfied by his knowledge. My righteous servant will justify many, and he Jesus will bear their iniquities. And it's amazing how poetic the story is. Yes, lives have been sacrificed. Children's lives, the life of Christ. They're all martyrs. All sacrifice for, uh, the hope that we have, which is being with Christ having eternal life. But this is just za poets, poetic in nature. It starts with the birth of Christ, Jesus and the sacrifice of these Children's lives going into Jesus, revealing what new life is and now is coming for a circle of Christ life being sacrificed. But it doesn't stop there because ah, life is risen. Matthew, Chapter 28 vs 5 to 6. As the angel said to the women, This is Mary, this is Mary, and, uh, the other women who were coming to the tomb after Jesus had died after he was crucified and they were coming three days later and they were just coming to check, maybe more. I know in their culture that they mourn several several weeks or even um, up to a month or so Like that. So they're coming to the tomb and the angels have moved the stone. And so the angels are there now And they say to the women, Do not be afraid. For I know that you are looking for Jesus who was crucified. He is not here. He has risen just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. So now the narrative of the story begins to change. And instead of it just ending with deaf Ah, life is risen. Jesus raises toe life again by the power of God and the Holy Spirit lifting him up, raising him from the grave. And this new life that has now risen is a foreshadowing of many lives that will be risen again because we end and conclude this story of the gospel through the narrative of life with John 3, 16 and 17 for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him Now the good news is that all who believe in him will have eternal life. Just as God raised Christ Jesus from death. God would do the same to all who believe in him What this time of reflection showed me was that the story of Christ Jesus is all about life. God becoming flesh came to earth for us because sin rule the day leading all to death. However, God sacrificed his life in the person of Jesus Christ to prevail over death in order that we too, may prevail over death. The amazing thing is, Jesus is coming back again to raise all to a glorious new life and be with him. This gospel the story of life is poetic. And it's what I reflect on in this season. So now I'm going to invite my amazing wife who also brings joy to my life, to close us out until next time can to to fight the good fight of faith, fight to spend time in the word and fight to be just be in the presence of God, love you all e o e beloved so much, he said on Emanuel, a part of him on Joseph couldn't fight any space.
