I am who I am. Stop trying to fabricate what you cannot recreate. Stop trying to serve your narrative by rewriting my history because to know it is very imperative. My ancestry is rightfully mine. And it's ridiculous to think that telling me who I am is fine. Just like your ancestors, you think that you can tamper with my identity. Your apology does not mean anything, nor does your sympathy. Now you want to connect to the very people that you and your ancestors despised. Regardless of how you try to exterminate, raped and tortured us, we will still rise from the Sahara Desert to the Atlantic Coast to the West Indies to the oh Connie, Watery Katab, a rivers and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The branches spread wide, and I am still counting. I am who I am, and I don't need anyone's signature. So stop trying to dismiss our story with your inaccurate literature. I will not do the dishonor of not acknowledging my ancestors ever because of them. My relations and I are here, for they have planted the seeds, extending our roots everywhere. I am speaking on behalf of my ancestors and carrying the legacy of their bloodline. And they wanted me to let you all know that I am still here and that my heritage will always be mine.
