Samantha graduated Ryerson University with a Radio and Television Arts Degree in 2006 and immediately started working at MuchMoreMusic. While in school, Samantha worked on shows such as Canadian Idol, E-Talk Playlist, The Gemini Awards as well as Next To Me, a short film she Produced in Melbourne Australia. Her hard work, creativity and ability to generate compelling and innovative story ideas at MuchMoreMusic, landed her the position as Associate Producer.
While working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment, she never turned down the opportunity work on MuchMusic as a voice over artist. She has voiced character driven cartoons on Stars Gone Wild and Totally Untrue History of... and voiced a 30 second narration skit on Were Experiencing Technical Difficulties. She also voiced Pilot's for MuchMoreMusic, such as Tunes for Tools, a character/puppet driven comedy and narration on Are You Kidding Me, a show she created, wrote and produced.
After almost three years at MuchMoreMusic, Samantha decided to pursue Freelance Announcing at Humber College. While in school, Samantha volunteered her time at MuchMusic, working on shows such as MuchMusic’s disBAND as well as her 4th MMVA’s in June of 2009. This year, Samantha Wrangled the Jonas Brothers, having to coordinate with floor directors and producers to ensure the Jonas’ made it to each stage during the live show. In previous years, she also Wrangled Amanda Bynes, Girlicious, VJ Devon Soltendieck, and the cast of Degrassi High at Shmooze Fest.
She has experience working on all formats of television and radio, from music to reality and documentary to live television and film, Samantha has no limits when working on entertaining and innovative shows. Her responsibilities over the years have included: Television/Radio Production; Voice Over Acting; Producing; Writing; Pitching; Hosting; On-Air supervising; Casting; Production Coordinating; Audio/Video Editing; Unit Assisting and Wrangling.
Samantha is currently working as Associate Producer with Cinematographer and Executive Producer, Michel Zeynali, on a new reality/documentary series, Dream Wedding Planners. During this time, she will continue to pursue freelance announcing and producing.
