to show the power of meals programs for kids. During Covid, we worked with local artists to create public murals in five American cities and produced a documentary series to tell the story. The stories captured media attention across the country. Summer has always been the hungriest time of year, but since the pandemic hit, our free meals, finder map and texting line has helped 445,000 families find food for their kids. We put particular emphasis on our Spanish language outreach, and thanks to our advocacy efforts, the USDA extended waivers allowing kids to get free meals throughout the summer. Our notes of Gratitude campaign spotlighted the heroic work of school meals staff across the country. We rallied our supporters to send hundreds of thank you notes to heroes across the country.
