Since its inception, the Innovation Center for US dairy has brought together industry leaders across the value chain to build a healthy and sustainable future for the dairy community, the people it serves and the planet we all share together. We have worked to address issues bigger than any one company organization or farm can address alone while identifying opportunities and for long term sustainable growth. In 2006, the US dairy industry was at a tipping point with an international report naming livestock as a major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions and activists attempting to paint a negative picture of animal welfare within the industry. We had to act the inaugural innovation Center for US dairy board meeting, established a blueprint for a new way of working pre competitive, industry wide collaboration and shared investment of resources to make a positive impact across the dairy value chain and beyond in areas important to customers and consumers.
