Hello. My name is Carolyn and I am the full time caretaker for my husband, who is a wheelchair user. I certainly understand the pressures of being a caretaker. I know there are days when I feel like I'm doing a really horrible job of caring for my husband. I want to celebrate you as a caretaker, first of all for reaching out when you needed it. So from one caretaker to another, I am proud of you. The responsibility of a caretaker is a heavyweight and often feels very isolating. It's okay to acknowledge the challenges and stressful feelings of being a caretaker. In no way however, did these feelings reflect your love and appreciation for those you care for.
