About Anthony "Tony" Owens

I started as a DJ with the CLOSE ENCOUNTER DISCO Group, a popular Music Entertainment Company that provided mobile DJ, MC & Lighting services for weddings, corporate events, & parties. I was also a regular guest of Holford Plummer, host on FAME FM’s (RJR) Saturday night Disco Mania radio show. However, it was July 1999 to September 2011 that marked the period when I captured the hearts of my listeners on Saturday mornings between 5 & 9.
Noted for my soft-spoken demeanor might lead you to believe that I should be a telemarketer rather than a DJ or voice over actor and that belief is not far-fetched. I have a long history of voice-overs & audio editing done for several entities including but not limited to Scotiabank & The Vinyl Record Collectors Association. I have extensive experience in being the MC at weddings, parties, & alumni events. Currently I do all my work from my home studio, creating promotional voice clips with or without background music. I work 24/7 different time zones.
