Bingo. That great American gambling game is the favorite weekly pastime of millions living in cities, towns and Hamlets throughout the United States. My survey reveals that 80 year, 22 million bingo players off home, 18 million on women wager approximately $3 billion at bingo, legally and illegally since the average bingo operator with tons about 50% of his handling prizes. These 22 million players paid $1.5 billion for the pleasure of playing the game an average annual cost of $68 each bingo and proposes the legalize. It have caused more debate and controversy in the American press than any of the form of Campbell in it is now legal in about half our 50 states and a number of other states will bring the issue to the voters in the near future. My survey also shows that one estate legalizes bingo. The animal handle usually drops to about 1/3 of its previous illegal handle. This is partly due to the fact the state places so many restrictions on the gains operation that many of the former illegal promoters throw up their hands and quit. Business also drops off because the sizes of the jackpot prize is permitted by the state of much smaller. In New Jersey, for example, before legalization, the top jackpot prize was often as much as $10,000 with several brand new automobiles as lesser prizes. The present law limits the top jackpot prize to $250.
