I have a passion to speak. I realized my interest in this area when I was awarded first place in the Valley Catholic Middle School Speech Tournament. I also enjoy immersing myself in scientific inquiry. For the past three years, I have been working on a research project to find a treatment for certain addictions, which is a serious community health concern for the Northwest. Emboldened by my progress and with support of the American Chemical Society and my school, I continued to work on my quest to find a treatment for addiction, making discoveries that have been filed for patents. This past year, I was selected out of more than 1,000 students to present my project at the 2011 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). At this event, I was awarded the First Place Award of $3,000 in the biochemistry category. My goal is to incorporate my passion for speaking and my avid interest for science in voice over opportunities.
