I am highly proficient in a range of UK accents as well as Received Pronunciation, and can also perform Irish, Australian and American accents as required. I'm a trained actress with skill in expressing a variety of emotions vocally and I have a naturally slightly deep but flexible voice that allows me to pitch either lower or higher as required, and which lends itself very well to a range of roles - from warm and conversational to a cooler, more businesslike tone. My natural British speaking voice is neutrally accented, although occasionally has a little bit of a Welsh 'lilt', something that gives my voice an air of friendly warmth and energy.
Like most trained actors, I have a particular enthusiasm for bringing characters to life, and I will do my utmost to do just that for your project, whether helping you tell your story, sell your product, promote your company, inform your audience or answer your telephones.
My own passions include reading and storytelling, which I do on a regular basis to my own children and local schoolchildren; I love playing video games as much as I love voicing characters in them - and I even build and upgrade my own gaming PCs to play them on; and I am a big film and television fan, with a particular fondness for flawed, nuanced, interesting characters. I also enjoy Yoga, although that currently seems to involve quite a bit of falling over.

Since starting to work as a VO, I've been privileged to work on a variety of interesting projects - from story narration, corporate work and dramatic scripture readings, to commercials, podcasts, phone messages and characters in films and videogames.
In 2014 I provided voiceover for the AAA videogame Dragon Age: Inquisition, produced by EA Bioware, after winning a voice over competition with more than 2000 entrants, both amateur and professional. My characters included a young flirty Welsh woman, a grieving middle-aged woman with a deep, mature voice in RP, a young upper class female with a higher, sophisticated voice, and a woman with a rough northern British accent. I take direction and cold-read very well, am capable of vocally performing a wide range of emotions and accents, and can consistently pitch my naturally deep voice either lower or higher.
I performed the role of Maisie in a pilot for a television comedy show called CSI: Manchester. The character had a Northern English accent and was youthful and humorous in nature.
As part of my acting course, I took part in theatrical revues, performing excerpts from plays and comedy sketches. I performed a scene from 'Educating Rita' with an earthy Liverpool accent, and a sketch written by the comedienne Joyce Grenfell with higher pitched received pronunciation.
In addition to acting, I am a professionally qualified librarian, with a decade of experience of working in law and media libraries . I spent several years working at the BBC, both as a news librarian and as departmental librarian for Religion & Ethics programming. I also worked as an Information and Business researcher at IPC Media, publisher of Marie Claire magazine, and at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in London - a higher education and research establishment for law students, practicing lawyers and Judges. As such, I am well-versed in the type of language used in the Corporate, Legal and Media spheres.
Large Corporate, Charity and Commercial clients include Microsoft, UNICEF, Nestle, Bupa, Merrydown Cider, Yoplait (Fiber One), Procter & Gamble, England Rugby, Acuvue, Age UK, Roche Pharmaceuticals, the British Heart Foundation and many more.
E-Learning experience includes a 90 minute seminar for a manufacturer of automobile point-of-sale systems; a tutorial on the application of Johnson & Johnson contact lens for opticians; a teaching program on antibiotic resistance for medical students at the Universities of Oxford, Manchester, Bristol and Cardiff; and I am currently working on a large project to demonstrate the use of Avid editing software to students at Leeds University.
Character and dramatic work includes voices for the AAA game Dragon Age: Inquisition, numerous films and animations, and I have recorded several audiobooks both on ACX and elsewhere.
