The mastermind at Bad Lip Reading has done it again with a new, absurdly humorous overdub video. Around this time last year, the anonymous video producer released his first NFL spoof which went viral with nearly 50 million views. The newest installment, released on January 24th, is already reaching every corner the social media universe.

Bad Lip Reading (abbreviated BLR) first came into the spotlight in 2011 with his take on Rebecca Black’s viral YouTube hit “Friday.” Since that first parody, BLR has accumulated a huge fan-base with over 3 million subscribers to his YouTube channel to date.

He’s produced a wide array of videos, many of which have gone viral, giving fans his off-the-wall take on a handful of music videos, as well as films and television shows such as Twilight and The Walking Dead. He even branched out into politics, dubbing over Obama’s Presidential Inauguration speech and doing some “bad lip reading” of Texas Governor Rick Perry.

The man behind BLR has chosen to keep his identity a secret adding to the mystique of his bizarrely funny video phenomenon. There is little known about him other than he’s an indie music and video producer from Texas. In a 2011 interview with the Washington Post, BLR indicated he has absolutely no malicious intent toward the musicians, actors, politicians or athletes he dubs, saying “I’m just trying to make something people can laugh at.”

After wiping the audio from video footage, BLR studies his comedy targets’ lips writing down what it looks like they’re saying resulting in an absurd nonsensical spoof that he then puts to music. Although parodies, his videos do a good job displaying the man’s creative talents. BLR writes and produces the music, comes up with the humorous phrases or lyrics and voices much of the dubbing himself.

With the Super Bowl about to kick off on February 2nd, the newest BLR video “More NFL” hit the ground running with over 12 million views in just two days. Not all of his dubbing parodies are exactly “family-friendly,” but “More NFL” is the most family-sensitive video yet.

So if you’ve ever wondered what NFL coaches and players might be saying to each other on, and off, the field click play and sit tight. This Bad Lip Reading will have you in stitches the whole day through.
