I did not have a good experience with Storytellers INK. First, prior to being hired for the job, I was informed that there would only be four videos to voice instead of the five videos noted in the job post. After negotiating new rates and terms and accepting the job offer, I was sent the first script and was advised the additional three scripts were forthcoming. I recorded the script the day I received it and sent it to Storytellers INK. They acknowledged receipt of it the next day and said they would get back to me. I did not hear from them again for over a month.
I messaged them multiple times, asking for status and guidance on the project to no avail. Finally, 40 days after sending in the recording, I received a message from a different person than my original contact at Storytellers INK. They apologized for the delay, noted their client had not been responding, but that the first recording had been approved and I should expect additional scripts within a week. Nine more days passed, no scripts. Finally, I requested that I at least be paid for the work I had completed. Storytellers INK agreed and coordinated the payment with Voices. Two weeks after my last message from Storytellers INK, I still have not received any additional scripts.
I appreciate that I was ultimately paid for the work I completed, but Storytellers INK's complete lack of communication was unprofessional and frustrating. I cannot recommend them as a client.
