What is the AI Studio?

The AI Studio is an on-platform experience where clients can preview, tune, purchase, and download professional voice actor cloned voices.

What Does the AI Studio Mean for Talent?

We currently have a small group of talent who have worked with us to clone their voices. These talent have their AI voices available for clients to hire through the AI studio. As we track client interest we’ll expand the number of talent we can work with to clone their voices.

How do I let Voices know I’d like to be considered to have my voice cloned?

At the current time, we are not adding any more talent to the AI program, but if you’re interested in working with us to clone your voice at some point in the future so it’s available for clients in the AI Studio, please sign up on this waiting list.

I don’t want my voice cloned, do I need to let Voices know?

No. If you don’t want to have your voice cloned, no action is needed on your part. We will never clone your voice without your consent, and the talent we work with are working with us because they have expressed explicit interest, and have been selected to work with us.

How do I know my voice and work will be protected if I work with Voices to clone my voice?

The process for talent who want to work with us to have their voices cloned for the AI studio begins with talent reaching out to us to express their interest. Any talent who is then selected works carefully with us, ensuring that the cloned voice that is developed is of the highest quality.

Do Talent in the AI Studio have some control over what their AI voice would be hired to say?

Yes. We do our best to put control in the talent’s hands with restriction filters. These allow talent to list any words they don’t want their cloned voice to be able to say.

Once the client has completed the job, talent have full transparency into the script that was used. This can help talent to see what types of words clients are using and to adjust the filters if necessary.

What is Voices’ overall approach to AI and working with talent?

We have made a commitment to our talent to follow the 3 C’s of ethical AI:

Consent

Voice talent must give explicit consent to a platform or company to have their data used, and there should also be clarity on how their data is used. The voice over artist should know that their voice is being used to train an AI voice. They should be empowered to ensure that their voice will be used in ways they deem appropriate, and words that their clone is expected to say will align with their personal values.

Credit

Voice talent should be credited for their work and their cloned voice.

Compensation

Voice talent should be compensated for their work and data used in AI voice. Compensation might be arranged on a per project basis, or if providing a branded voice for one company, remuneration on an annual contract, with terms around the licensing and use of the voice.
