we came up alongside slumber ahead around lunchtime, and this is the first time when I began to get the feeling that something wasn't quite right. As we rounded Flambeau ahead, we ran into some sand banks on, had to make a huge detour out to sea to get clear of thumb. Of course, I didn't have my electronic charts and GPS, but on the paper chart, although it was in quite a large scale, I just could not reconcile this with what we were seeing. We kept going on surrounding this headland, although well out to sea. Johnny was at the tiller, and I asked him which direction he was going. Of course, the compass was not much use, and he estimated we were heading north. A glance at the Sun, which was now beginning to come out, confirmed my suspicions that something was not right. It was No. 2:30 p.m. On the sun was slightly on our starboard side. Any semen will pretty quickly figured out that this means we were heading south. I told Johnny to turn the boat around and head into the northwest until I could figure out what was going on that appeared to be a large, sweeping bay on the way to the northwest. More lights appeared as we sealed in that direction at nightfall, consulting the chart. I figured that these would be some of the times to the north of flying but ahead. And if I get going in that general direction, I would eventually come to Scarpetta or Whitby, where we could bear thought for the day we continued in this general direction, still being plagued with sand banks. So having to keep well out from the land doing this type of sandbanks, we must have sucked him sound up into her antics and the engine overheated and we got an alarm. I shut the engine off as a precaution and started it up again after a half hour break. This happened a few times, and then, at one point, the engine simply refused to start again. Being so far out from the lined, it was difficult to determine what the lates were as it started to come down dark. But I did seem to be need a pretty big place on coming in fairly close, did not look like a place I could enter, so I kept going towards more light. Second sea in the distance. As I passed this first place, I was treated to a display of fireworks, similar to what I had seen it. Disney World, Florida. So I figured that this was a holiday resort, but still wasn't too sure. Which one? All up and down the east coast of England, there were holiday resorts, and my thinking was that this was finally and that the lights I could see in the distance would be Scarpetta. I send the guys off to bed again, and I can't watch through the night heading towards Karbala, I passed the next set of lights, which weren't much and kept going, trying to figure out in my head what was going on. As I kept going, I could see quite a lot of lights in the distance. And as I came closer, it became apparent that this was a major place. Douglas appeared on deck around four a.m. As we were coming ever closer to these lights, which I was pretty certain would be Scarpetta. We approached the southern end of these lights and I could see some red and green navigation lights, which I headed towards Aziz would be an entrance. As we came closer, it became even stranger. And the buildings I saw up eating out of the night looked more like industrial buildings. Not quite what I had expected of scar bitter. I had it in really close on entered in between a set of navigation lights. But this took me into an enclosed area with a beach at the back. So I quickly turned around and made my way out of here and had a look at the other side of this wooden pile. Pierre At the other side. It appeared to be the entrance to a river, but as it was still dark and the entrance was not at all clear, I opted to move further north to see what was there heading north. There was even more industry on a little further along what appeared to be a major river entrance. I was beginning to figure out in my mind that because I had stayed so far out overnight that I must have missed scar. But all together on this must be river tees. There were no other rivers in this area. There were some low lying islands to the north on, I decided to head west and cut inside them as we sealed west, and as the light came in, it became a pardon. These were not islands but an outcrop, and I would have to turn around and make my way out of the River Channel I had inadvertently entered. By this time, Delight was well in, and I was pretty tired, having only slept two hours the previous night. So I decided I would have to go for a sleep. Since Donald and Johnny were no up, I pointed out to Johnny where we were heading on also pointed out the boy channel to him. I explained that this was for big ships and we did not have to stay within the boys as long as we stayed fairly close to them. I then went below to have a much needed sleep. I was only down for around half an hour when Johnny called me and told me there was a problem
