This is the progression of growth and achievement that has defined New York blood center. This is the story of its evolution. Dina Dublon was born in Brazil, the daughter of Yakov and yet 11. At age 17 she crossed the globe, landing at her father's birthplace, Israel, where she studied economics and mathematics. It was there that she fell in love with her husband, du Blanc, and after university traveled with him back west, this time to the United States, where they would start a family of their own. As we write, the story of our future were inspired by honoring our past traditions, memories and the values we share. Yet while these collections honor the past, they also embrace the present. Merab was born with a congenital condition requiring multiple surgeries. She came to us at 14 months of age, unable to swallow, receiving all of her nourishment through a tube in her belly and an ivy line. After intensive rehabilitation at ST Mary's, she has learned to eat solid food. She thrives, and more importantly, Merav is ready to go home and live with her family for the first time in her life.
