The very idea that I am a victim of our shared circumstances is ridiculous. Would a victim record their statement from the comfort of their family's country home? Would they be sitting in a sumptuous leather chair at a large wooden desk, looking out over a setting so bucolic it could have been painted by Turner or Constable?
