introduction. I'm one of those people who have seen it all. Good and bad successes and failures, triumphs and tragedies. Each of those moments taught me something. Now is my desire to share some of those lessons with you. I've been talking about writing this book for years. I decided to finally stop talking about doing it and do it. After all, through my life and journey, they have been people in my path who have helped me become who I am today. I just wanted to pay tribute by sharing some of my stories to help people in the community. It's my hope that the words on these pages will challenge others to tell their stories, be a mentor or simply give Akane work to someone else. Each of us have outstanding characteristics, and I hope to help each of you holding this book tap into the power within so that others can benefit and even model some of your good works.
