pavlak in season seven of Shark Tank one entrepreneur tried promoting his idea for a game changing device called pavlak. Let's see him introduce himself because the reaction from the sharks is a good indicator of how his pitch is going to go. He does not get off to a good start here, so manage hasn't made a great first impression, which is pretty crucial in business. Maybe if he tells the sharks about his business called Pavlak, he can convince them that he's worth investing in. Unfortunately that doesn't go down too well. While everyone has a good laugh at the basic idea behind Pavlak Manish makes further attempts to get the business brains onside, he reveals that he suffers from a D. D. Or attention deficit disorder and that this is what inspired him to invent pavlak this changes the atmosphere a little though, as you'll see when he explains the beginnings of these entrepreneurial activities, he gets a negative response. It's safe to say that manages delivering quite a unique pitch though, the sharks don't seem all that convinced by any of it. However, when it comes to the aesthetics, it looks like Manish could be starting to interest the sharks as you can see by robert, Herjavec comments. Now, maybe things will start looking up for Manish yet there's another problem, the device relies on electric shocks or as he puts it sensations at first these are mild, but then mannish ramps up the shock factor nearly making the sharks jump out of their chairs in the process. It's time for a skeptical Mark Cuban to drill down into the details His dismissiveness is clear from an early stage, as this exchange shows, Manish is starting to anger this shark in particular and it doesn't help that he isn't taking the criticisms with good grace. Things really start boiling over when the entrepreneur claims that the shock treatment can actually alter the taste of the food, you're craving, helping you give up the things you're addicted to and when the subject of pricing per item comes up, Manish makes life even more difficult for himself by quoting a figure that stuns the tank, shark Lori Greiner starts to see the pitfalls in pavlak following Mark Cuban's lead that the pitcher doesn't appear to have any scientific research of his own to back up the potentially lucrative product. Shark Tank is known for its singers as well as its no nonsense business chat. Lori Grenier decides to let Manish down in one of the wittiest ways imaginable. Also, Mark Cuban isn't finished giving manage a dressing down for him. The guy has something to offer. He just hasn't gone about doing his pitch in the right way Cuban is going to let him know about that era for sure. In his trademark direct fashion, from branding him a con artist to saying he talks nonsense, it's clear, Manish doesn't have a fan in Mark Cuban. The sharks generally don't seem interested. We haven't even heard much from kevin o'leary, He's bound to shoot this young upstart down in flames, right? Actually, he doesn't manage has made so many mistakes here, that he must be a little relieved that mr Wonderful is giving him a possible lifeline. Turns out Kevin O'leary is interested in the subject and has studied it himself. We know by now that manage is in trouble, so he should probably accept what O'leary is saying and go into business with him. But wait, there's a big surprise coming. The entrepreneur seals his fate by telling mr Wonderful that he doesn't think he's the right investor for the project. This staggering revelation leaves Kevin O'leary to end the pitch with a foul mouth. End quote throw rocks. Edwin heaven sounds like a name that might lead to the perfect deal. However, when this offbeat entrepreneur entered the studio during the very first season of shark tank with his idea for a sock saving business, it resulted in mocking behavior and insults from the sharks. Edwin wanted $50,000 for a 25% stake in the bizarrely titled throw rocks. What does it mean? Okay, so maybe that isn't clear enough just in case the sharks haven't got it yet. He repeats the idea in even more simple terms with the idea behind Rocks explained in terms that even a child could understand Edwin then finishes his pitch and awaits questioning from the sharks. You can tell already that this isn't going to go, well, it certainly looks like an amusing concept. And Edwin is telling lots of jokes along the way to enhance that fact, unfortunately, the humor has to end. So, the business of questioning the entrepreneur seriously can begin robert, Herjavec offers his views as the sharks start wanting answers about how the business works and reason as to why it's viable. Edwin needs to adopt a more serious tone, but he doesn't want to do that, it seems when he makes another wisecrack the reaction of kevin O'leary says it all O'leary wants to give Edwin an honest viewpoint on what he's trying to do. As far as mr wonderful is concerned, Edwin is skating on thin ice in a world full of tough operators who want to eliminate any competition. He's pointing this out to him though he isn't doing it politely. He don't really get much in the way of politeness from kevin O'leary. In fact, what he says to Edwin is downright insulting vampire cockroach. I know that Edwin is a little on the eccentric side, but it's very rude of kevin O'leary to refer to him in those terms. Whether he's trying to offer sound advice or not. O'leary moves on from name calling to continue his serious line of questioning his next question, exterminate this pesky cockroach, in his words, that is ultimately, it's decided that Edwin is too small an operator for the sharks to be interested in, it doesn't help that his pitch was unimpressive, but even if he did sell his product in a more conventional fashion. he still wouldn't have attracted much attention. Simple habit, yuna kim walked into the shark tank in season nine asking for a $600,000 investment in exchange for 5% of her business. Simple habit. What was she offering these seasoned business pros? I'll get into that in a moment for now. Let's take a look at the moment. She introduced herself in the tank. As we've seen previously. Some entrepreneurs seem to turn the investors off from the moment they start talking the reaction to the start of her pitch signals stormy times ahead. It looks like, you know, has a mountain to climb before she's even got going with her proposal. What was it all about? Anyway, yuna explains that simple habit is a mindfulness app that promotes meditation and good mental health. She saw a gap in the market where competitor apps were only using one voice to deliver their services. Una wanted to rely on a range of voices from the best professionals in the business. When she asks the sharks to join her in some meditation, they start making fun of her thankfully she has someone fighting in her corner, but it isn't one of the usual sharks. This episode has a special guest star in the shape of british business titan. Sir Richard Branson Branson may seem relaxed, but it's obvious he isn't going to put up with a typical shark tank trash talk. However, when Eunice starts explaining more about her business and the numbers behind it, it looks like the sharks may have reason to be skeptical. Even the friendliest of the sharks is starting to lose patience with her. Una reveals that she already has a sizable amount of money to play with $2.8 million with such a big bank balance. The potential investors want to know what their role in the organization would be, What she says does not impress Mark Cuban when she mentions the sharks in the same breath as influencers, he starts to bite Sir Richard Branson is still keen to defend una against criticism from the sharks. He tries arguing the case from her point of view. However, Mark Cuban isn't having any of it. What he says in response arguably crosses the line when it comes to being respectful of entrepreneurs. To una surprise. She's accused of being more interested in the shark's money than the sharks themselves. Damon john also wanted to let you know that he was far from happy with her approach. He began criticizing Una for seemingly taking advantage of the shark at the expense of other hopeful entrepreneurs. Sir Richard Branson protests, but Damon johnson declares himself out as does Cuban, so is Sir Richard Una savior and shining armor. No, actually Branson goes on to burst Yunus bubble and when the sharks here this, they are ready to give Sir Richard a serious ribbing though as you'll see he's in no mood to play with them. What must have been going on through you nose, mind finding herself in the middle of a tense standoff between three sharks. Branson may have sounded like he was making fun by threatening to throw water at the men on either side of him, but he wasn't kidding far from it. Little did he suspect? But Mark Cuban was about to have a surprise shower courtesy of Sir Richard Branson. The atmosphere here is so tense, forget water, it looks like Mark Cuban may throw a punch at one of the planet's wealthiest people. To the relief of everyone, He decides to give Sir Richard a soaking in return. Sir Richard seems to take it in his stride, having a good chuckle about the chaos he's created. Maybe he does this kind of thing all the time in the boardroom. But the sharks aren't there to get wet at the end of the day. They're here to dish out harsh words to unwary entrepreneurs. Una is clearly upset at being branded a gold digger by Mark Cuban. He goes on to explain a bit more about why he said what he did though. Sir Richard Branson isn't done with Cuban. Things go from flinging water to getting physical. This is when things get the most worrying. Are we really going to see a full on confrontation on the floor of the tank, thankfully. Things settled down enough for a conversation to be had about whether the sharks want to invest in your business, turns out robert. Herjavec is interested and is suggesting a joint deal with Sir Richard Branson to spread the cost a little. You'd think UNa would take their hand off accepting the offer. Yet in another twist, she decides not to go with their suggestion, feeling that it isn't right for her business. She is still smarting from what Mark Cuban said to her also, even though she had the option to do a deal with Sir Richard Branson and one of the sharks from Shark Tank, she walked away. It may not have been a successful day for UNa, but at least she gave the world some excitement by delivering a pitch that resulted in one of the tanks most memorable encounters.
