Self preserving is the term that lush uses for products that are formulated to stay fresh, effective and safe to use without synthetic preservatives. We've developed ways to reduce and remove preservatives from our products because we'd rather pack them full of fresh ingredients that are naturally derived and beneficial for your skin. The purpose of preservatives is to prevent decay.
