Alice was a good detective. So when the elf said that he was gone, Alice deduced that he must be Santa. Tell me what happened and we will look at the evidence she announced are killed and count damage after Santa Ana just disa Plourde. I work for him but couldn't find her anywhere, said Alice. She looked around the room. The soot in the fireplace was slightly disturbed. Santa would never get any dirt on the floor, so there were no footsteps to follow the flowers, Alice said. The elf looked where Alice was pointing. He had no idea what she was talking about. The paddles have fallen, Alice explained. Someone walked past in a hurry. I don't remember them being like this last night. That can only mean that Santa went that way toward the hole. Alice moved to the hall, the elf trotting behind. He could see Alice moving in circles, looking at everything. Alice put her finger to her cheek and thought, Ah, ha! Whispered Alice excitedly. The door lock has been turned from the inside. Timeto brave the cold. Alice put on her shoes, jacket, hat, scarf and gloves. She opened the door and cold blasted her face outside. There were lots of clues. Footprints have been made by large boots. Alice jumped from one to the next, making the detective work into a game. When they reached the end of the footsteps, the elf moaned, Oh, no, he's just a pound. Alice stared at the blanket of white snow ahead of her. He did not go north and did not go south. But he did not go west and did not go east brothels. Nowhere out, some sort of gun, said the elf. So that can only mean, said Alice Bottle. Most of guard up! Shouted the elf. They both looked up and saw Santa Claus sitting in the tree. Santa Alice scream joyfully. She wanted to jump in, sing and laugh and play. But she knew she still had to help Santa Claus save Christmas. Why don't you come down and talk with us? Alice asked. Okay, said Santa. Not that it will do any good. He jumped to the ground. Santa, What's wrong? Nothing, said Santa. This was going to be hard. Alice had to use her detective skills again. Sandal was delivering a lot of presents tonight. Maybe it had something to do with that. Then Alice remembered a vital piece of information. Sandal is scheduled to be delivering presence in her country at 2 a.m. Alice thought back to the time of her clock when she had woken up. That was it. You're afraid that you're not going to be able to deliver the presence in time, Alice said. We got lost over Norway. I had to re Hofer reindeer. My elf needed to use the bathroom and a bird flapped around my head and scared me. Now there's no way that I can deliver all these presents in time. Come on, Santa, said Alice. You're powerful and magical and amazing. Think of all the little boys and girls. You can do this and you know why? Why? Because you've always done it, Alice said. You've always brought presents in happiness. I'm believing you, Sana mo ture shouted. The elf Santa took a deep breath. You're right, I'm Santa Claus and I can do this
