The priest speaks briefly, then again turns his back to them. He again praise in the direction of the altar. Antoine and Francois stand and grab each other's hand, then turned to the congregation. The couple are smiling with glee. A number of the church members smile and make a point of nodding to them. The service carries on with the priest, oblivious to any traditions. Onley Minutes later, after the mass has concluded, the members air gathered in the churchyard area. It is a beautiful summer day, with the sun also blessing the marriage. The first congregation member walks quickly over to Antoine and his new bride, Antoine and Francoise. Congratulations and Joab beams with pleasure. We are husband and wife, Thank you. The second member speaks to a small group on the edge of the clearing. I saw them. They stood proudly and smiled and even waved at us as the priest attended to the Mass with his back turned all.
