Hi, this is Purpose in the Gray podcast hosted by me, Mary was before we go any further, let us define the terms. Just what exactly is the gray. Well, the gray is those periods of time that we go through life bearing the weight, the intensity of unmet needs, you know, those needs that are sometimes deeply personal and private, those longings of our hearts. And sometimes they are very obvious in public. Regardless of the case, they bear some intensity. You know, when you've hoped, you've prayed, you've planned, you've worked so hard. But this needs just don't seem to get met the gray. The gray is that period is that season where you're going through life bearing the weight of the emotional whirlwind that comes with all of it. I speak from experience that is both lived and observed when I say that gray seasons can be really hard. They are periods that are filled with emotional roller coasters and sometimes we can lose ourselves, we can lose ourselves into depression and anxiety, we can lose ourselves into destructive and self harming behavior. And sometimes very sadly, we can succumb to the weight of all of this So this podcast is meant to be a library of resources, a library of resources on how we can find peace when everything else is that is crazy is going on around us just how we can be present in the here. And now you're going to find tools that will help with mind management and emotional regulation, skills and just spiritual practices that will be helpful for us to find purpose and meaning in the in the present moment. The podcast is not about making sense of the, of the unmet need. It's not about making sense of the difficult situation. No, but instead it's bringing us to this present moment and helping us to cope and to prosper and to flourish while we are in the gray season. So throughout the podcast, I will be sharing resources from experts in the fields of neuroscience, psychotherapy and spiritual teachers. I'll also share my own personal experiences of the Gray and trust me, it has been a crazy wild ride and other times, I will be bringing guests on the show, guests that will share with us their stories of how they navigated the gray, how if they are still in the gray and what what we can learn from all of that. There's going to be a lot of book reviews, research reviews, app reviews and from time to time, I will be writing meditations that we can, we can, I will share with you guys. So that's what you can expect from this podcast. Please feel free to join by just subscribing and then you can turn on the notification bell so that each time there's an upload, you never miss it. Just bring an open mind because we're gonna be looking into various very diverse, very different resources from the diverse scientific backgrounds to the non scientific but just popular opinions to the be religious in the non religious resources background. So please bring an open mind, take just what you need and let the others enjoy what they need. And together we can form a community of people that are finding joy while everything else. That's crazy is going on. All right, I will see you soon or you'll hear from me soon. Ok. Have a good day. Hey, just to symbolize this here.
