I don't understand this saying cute as a button. I've never been in a store and had to, like, get my Lady's attention and be like, Babe, Look out Cute. This button is like I've never in my life seen a cute button or an obtuse button. I just I've never where to that saying come from cute as a button. I just don't understand how a button can be cute at all. The phrase would be suited for a small child or flower, cute as a button. Cute, charming, attractive, almost always with the connotation of being small 18 68 from their original 17 31 English meaning of acute or clever.
