our world is full of wicked problems that are difficult to solve because they are incomplete, contradictory and tackled under changing circumstances so that no single solution will work on its own problems like conflict, poverty, disease and unemployment. The future of work has the potential to elevate lively hoods and make work more meaningful. However, without the right support, it could lead to the economic exclusion of one million people worldwide. That's a big problem. Luckily, there are some amazing research based tools and processes that can help us solve these big problems. At New Sector Alliance, we specialize in bringing cutting edge techniques to the people that need them most. Likewise, our fellows learn toe apply design based strategies to better navigate towards their career and life goals. What is this all about? Design. Do you need some special software to do that? No designed thinking is a process that's mission driven organizations and change agents can use the tackle Wicked problems designed thinking encourages people to explore new alternatives and create options that have not existed before. Designed Thinking is successful because of his human center, always focused on the beneficiary and situated to the context and culture relevant to the big problems they face. It starts with direct observation and data collection to produce stories that resonate once the research is conducted. The problem solvers are more apt to define with. The real problem is after diagnosing the true problem, it's timeto idee eight or brainstorm new ideas without the constraints of existing solutions. These new ideas were then made up into simple prototypes that will test possible outcomes. Feedback gathered through the testing process, helpless to refine solutions. Rapid prototyping speeds up the innovation process because we're only learned about the quality of our ideas when we test them. In the real world, the process of research idea eating, prototyping and testing is repeated in a cycle so that failure is low. Risk in early learning leased a long term success. However, the process isn't always linear, so why designed thinking? The process provides a tool kit instead of techniques to enable cross sector collaboration to resolve wicked problems. For example, our Workforce Development Program and talent support systems introduce our partners to project management and operational program innovation, using design thinking with the design thinking approach.
