computer broken on arrival, all accessories missing. This has been a sad three months. The day seemed to have alternated between disappointment, anticipation, frustration and as of yesterday sorrow. If you'll listen allow me to tell you the terrible tragedy of origin Pcs. Desecration of my beloved L. Class studio as a developer and video editor. I've always wanted a high speed work station. Last april the time finally arrived to search for and order a powerful Pc. After doing some research I decided I loved the look of Origin Pc. S. L. Class studio. Their pc designer in particular was quite user friendly and their emphasis on customer satisfaction was encouraging. I configured my L. Class studio entered my credit card info and things went downhill from there. My initial order date was April six here is an overview of what happened. Part one April 6 to April 28. The sales department that doesn't take money a day or so after I ordered my Pc. I got an email from a sales rep saying my credit card didn't go through. I figured my credit cards company flagged the activity. But chase said they hadn't received a charge at all. Confused. I asked the sales rep if I could use another payment method. He said that wasn't possible despite the checkout page of the site accepting everything from wire transfers to graduated payments. I asked if he could rerun the card and didn't get a message for two weeks. This is where I should have turned back but I didn't I was still an optimist back then. I wanted to see that beautiful L. class studio under my bedroom desk. It's Corsair H 100 I pro XD RGB cooling systems, multicolored lights lulling me to blissful sleep. Night after night, during that two week span I tried both sending emails and calling the support line. Calling the support line eventually got me a person that tried to Rerun the cards around April 24 and this still didn't work. No one was able to give me a concrete reason why any of this was happening, including chase and so I took matters into my own hands. No one was going to keep me away from my baby any longer. And I ordered a second L class studio using a wire transfer. This time it worked. No lumbering, inefficient sales staff. We're going to keep me away from my baby any longer. That's when I thought my problems were over but things continued to get worse. Part two april 30th to june 9th. The purgatory allow assembly line. Like many companies origin has been impacted by COVID for that reason. I don't fault them for their 42 day building time. With that said my anxieties were starting to climb. What if this PC wasn't done by June 17 after that date I was gone for three weeks and there would be no one to accept the packaged computer. I started to plan for that eventuality. But to my excited surprise part three june ninth to june 16th. The shipping department of foreshadow Doom On June nine I got an email that my L class studio had entered the shipping department that claimed the shipping team will carefully pack your system, accessories and extras. The sales guy asked about my custom etching at this time which I turned down. I had to save all the time. I possibly could so I could see my baby before my trip. Despite this, the computer didn't ship for another seven days, wow! They must really be thoroughly packing up my pc. It will be so safe when it arrives. I'm sure excited to use it. I thought to myself, if only I had known what happened, I would have called them up and begged screamed at the top of my lungs for them to stop in the words of job would be better if it had never been born at all. Part four june 16th two july seventh arrival waiting and the staving off of despair. The computer arrived the day before I left. In this cool solid wood crate with the origin logo emblazoned on the side. The enormous £70 crate was the only box ups dropped off, but it seemed easily large enough to hold the computer and all of my accessories. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to unpack the box before my flight the next day and I knew that if I even tried, I would simply spend my time away pining after my beloved L. Class studio. My sadness was a palpable force as real as any carry on item that I took with me on the plane while I was away. I readied my after effects and premiere pro projects to be transferred to the computer. Upon my july return part five july seventh to present the desolation of my L. Class studio desktop. There are three steps to opening an origin crate. Open the top, open the side and remove the packing foam from inside the desktop. I happily began the process after watching Origins youtube video on how to do this and disassembling the crate was very exciting but after removing the top and side I could tell something was wrong, something was missing. Specifically everything that wasn't the desktop was missing, no monitor, no speakers, no mouse batter hoodie. Since I had been there the day the PC arrived, I knew no other packages had come. Then I tried to remove the packing foam from inside the desktop and discovered to my horror that there was none. I tried to process what had happened. They shipped a $12,000 computer with no inner packing foam. I looked inside the computer and the NVIDIA R. TX 30 90 was crooked, its weight causing the cards metal frame to bend and the PCB connectors to shave against the motherboard terrified I took pictures of all of this. Starting to realize the only person I knew at origin was my sales rep that didn't answer emails. I tried to place the Gpu and the damaged P. Ci slot and realized it was futile attempting anything more could give Origin reason to not repair the damage they did to my beloved. I turned on the desktop. The corsair Rgb lights spun to life. But the Gpu was silent. Noble life sputtered from the L. Classes fans. Either. My baby was a walking zombie dead and it's musty crate, killed by an ignorant and unquestionably incompetent shipping department before even seeing the twinkle of the midnight stars with a gentle light of the morning sun. Whoever is responsible for this needs to be placed in a padded box where they can never touch a computer again Appendix, a July 8 to present origins solution. I know what I'll do. I'll call origins 24 hour support line. They'll know what they do. I frantically decided in my panic yet I called the 24 hour customer support line that night and got only the never ending murmur of neo electronic hold music. I tried again the next morning and got a representative. You'll have to send it back. He said the kindness in his voice mixing with a sort of bleary apathy. How many weeks will that take? I was hoping to use this computer for work? I asked uncertainly. three weeks probably, he replied apologetically or you could ask for a refund. The anger in my brain told me to go for the refund. After all this company had treated me about as well as they had treated the debilitated L. Class studio, desktop sitting, whoa, be gone in my bedroom. But my heart, the part of me that loved the L. Class studio told me to send it back in for repair after all I had seen her her body a bent and broken corpse yet still beautiful. How could I let her go? You have to make a decision? The rep suddenly said what? Right now but I need some time to think about this. Do you want to repair or refund repair or refund? In my non committal and non confrontational confusion, I opted for the repair. He had pressured me into the decision but my answer had also been informed by more nefarious factors. For example I had been reading some other reviews that morning and it seemed origin was in the habit of trying to charge 15% restock fees for all refunds. The rep gave me an R. M. A. Number and told me it would be three weeks at the least. Then I realized I had forgotten something rather important sir. What about the missing accessories, which accessories were missing? Um The monitor, the speakers, the mouse pad, the hoodie, we can see what we can do about the hoodie, The monitor and speakers were sent by a third party. They should come any day now and that was the end of the call all his darkness. Starless night, desecrated computer corpses and despair in all seriousness. Here's the unacceptable part. This rep told me that the monitor et cetera are sent by a third party and I should keep waiting for them. It has now been about three weeks since the desktop arrived. Furthermore. Origins. Own email stated their shipping department was carefully packing your system, accessories and extras. Now I'm no Einstein, but I guess that the same people that forgot to put the packing foam in the $12,000 desktop are probably the same people that didn't remember to pack the extras too. And I'd even go out on a limb and say they're responsible in some way for the disappearance of the monitor and speakers. I've opted for repair. But this is because I'm afraid since I used a wire transfer to get the money to Origin, it will take some serious legal action to get it back and I don't think these folks are customer friendly while they might possibly repair my computer. I don't know what to do about the monitor and speakers. They've effectively stolen that money for me and I will file complaints with the BBB and whatever else I can. I'm honestly still hoping Origin tries to make this right. But until then I hope you'll remember my story and spread the word of the tragedy of my L class studio. It's not a story. Origin will tell you
