Graham was the best person I have ever known. She was truthful, loyal to a fault and the hardest working woman I have ever met. She was born and raised on a farm. While she loved all animals, she was a bit intimidated by the bigger ones. Graham knew. You should be careful and know what you are doing around the livestock, the pigs, cows and draft horses. Or you could get mauled, cow kicked or stepped on. Hence, she liked him from a distance We both love to drive in the country. Me to get out of the city in the rat race, Graham to visit her memories of the old days and the neighborhood of family and friends that still might be around a month or so. After I officially purchased Black, I took Graham for a ride out to see my dream. Just before leaving the house, Graham pulled a handful of carrots out of her garden for him. She left the tops on, knowing that horses loved the green. Part two. I'm not sure if she was uncertain of the uneven ground or if she was just a bit shy, but Grams stayed in the car I gathered black up, did a quick brush up to make him presentable and walked him up to Graham at the passenger side window. At first she looked at him and I could see she was intimidated. Black seemed to censor trepidation. He slowly put his whole head through the car window and nuzzled her ever so softly, and Nick erred very low. Graham blushed and giggled like a school girl. She gathered up those carrots and handed him one at a time, greens and all blocked in, grab the carrots and levered eat them, but was very gentle, taking just a small bite and nibbling it down bit by bit. From that day on, Graham grew extra carrots for black and in the wintertime bought them for him. Even if Graham couldn't accompany me, I was to swing by and pick up block streets.
