2021 has been an important year for BCG as we continue to build and grow in our D. Ei impact. Our progress reflects our rich history of supporting BCG years from all backgrounds which is core to our values. As a firm. We are excited about where BCG is going even as we know, there is still more work to do. Our approach to diversity equity and inclusion is grounded in three pillars of action our workplace, our work and our world. Our work across these three pillars is expansive with our firm leaders driving change on all fronts and we want to highlight and celebrate some of this work within BCG. We emphasized representation and the importance of equitable and inclusive culture. We doubled our CT diversity recruiting team and continue to increase the diversity of our staff, including increasing our black and hispanic latino, hiring for both our business services team and consulting team. Our eight diversity affinity networks grew significantly and re imagine new ways to engage. They stayed connected through virtual hybrid and in person programming including their annual conferences for our veterans at BCG. This meant expanding the vet mentoring program to strengthen one on one connections for pride at BCG and expanded leadership model helped to grow the network across business units and offices accessibility at BCG hosted several events including talks with paralympian Noelle Lambert and Tony Winner Ali Stroker and Indigenous at BCG invited several indigenous speakers as part of our racial equity engagement series more broadly. The racial equity engagement series brought in speakers on a range of important topics and thousands of BCG years dialed in to participate. We expanded ways for people to get active in D. E. I. With inclusion accelerators in every office, New D. I. Communities and over 300 mbps active through networks, the groundwater program, inclusion accelerators or as MDP champions. And we are revising key processes and programs to ensure equity, foster inclusion and embed accountability in our work. BCG champions and leads diversity, equity and inclusion discussions with our partners and our clients. We released multiple publications showcasing BCG S. D. I. Thought leadership on topics including women in tech, L. G B. T. Q. Inclusion in the workplace and racial equity and finance. We also lead among our peers publishing our first annual D. EI report. We are driving discussions on D. EI across topics and across sectors. We continue to use our influence to advance D. I in the world around us for our asian diversity network. This meant becoming an official partner of the Asian American Foundation T A. F. They also launched a ceo interview series inviting 10 asian C. E. O. S to share insights from their personal journeys. We also continue to work towards the six public commitments to racial equity we made in 2020 and are working across these commitments to make progress Including investing 57 million in talent resources in pro bono work. We are proud of the impactful work. We are doing both within and beyond BCG to develop more diverse equitable and inclusive communities. We are grateful to our partners and all of the BCG years who help us work towards a better future. We are steadfast in our commitment to equity and inclusion. And while we know there is more to be done, we are excited about what's next for BCG.
