Once upon a time, there were two Nagas who were begging in the street. One day, a rich man came along, the two Nagas begged him for money and he cursed and swore at the Nagas. So the two Naga Arima and followed him back to his home and seeing his clothes hanging on the line decided they were going to get back at him by dressing up in his clothes and taunting a bull elephant. They found in a nearby field after teasing the elephant in the man's clothes, the Nagas hung the clothes back on the line and the rich man unknowingly came out and put them on the next day. So returning to his house, the elephant saw the man and believing the man to be the same person who was teasing him, followed the man home and knocked down his house. The man did not survive but the woman who the man was engaged to be married to burned incense at the snake temple for many days.
