And for nearly 50 years, the Open space Institute has been a national leader in protecting the land that matters most since 1974 we have conserved more than two million acres of precious forests, wetlands and places to recreate throughout the eastern U. S. And Canada to deliver clean water fight, climate change, provide habitat for wildlife and improve public enjoyment of the outdoors.
