Hi, I'm kim Bowman and I'm a teacher who specializes in helping adult multi lingual learners improve their english. I'm based in los Angeles California in the United States, but I help learners online all over the world. My new podcast english in America will include lots of helpful tips for beginning intermediate and advanced english learners who want to be able to communicate clearly with other english users in the United States, whether that's at school, at work or in everyday life situations. Every episode includes authentic conversations and listening scenarios to help you understand not only language, but also american culture. You're going to hear a wide variety of accents like those that you here in the United States, as well as a vast range of different communication styles. Every episode of the podcast has a corresponding Youtube video which includes further detailed explanations about what you hear in the podcast. Here are a few of my tips and suggestions that will help you make the most of your listening experience. Number one, adjust the speed of the episode as you listen. If the speakers are going too fast for you and you can't catch everything that's okay. Just slow down the speed of the podcast, secondly rewind a little bit. Listen again, listen three times four times repeated listening especially to these conversation scenarios are going to help you better understand what you're hearing third. Make sure that you watch the corresponding youtube video because it does include explanations for what you're hearing in the podcast. Four, please subscribe to the podcast through your favorite podcast platform. This way you won't miss any episodes if you have a question or a specific topic related to american english that you'd like to learn about.
