I think every freelancer has a little voice in her head. A little voice that says, You know, if you took a staff job, your life would be like normal people. You could work normal hours, have normal relationships. If you took a staff job, you know exactly what you'd be doing every day instead of waiting for the phone to ring, sending you, who knows where to do, who knows what I hope I never listen to that little voice. I hope I can resist it forever until I'm an old woman looking back on the most a normal life anyone could ever have.
