I've done it. The spell needed to seal away the oncoming hordes is finally complete. Now, all I need to do is find the ancient portal and activated. I'll soon be making my way into the forest to end this terrible curse. I've only briefly ventured into the woods and already I hear the whisperings of the madness that infest the forest beyond the walls. I've heard the tales of rational men turning on their comrades. But you can't ever truly describe this feeling. I'll try again tomorrow. The voices tell me terrible things that my lover hunts me and plots my demise. The guards on the walls are readying themselves to destroy the spell I've made and that nowhere is safe. I've seen the townsfolk sneaking glances at me when they don't think I'm looking, heard their whispers that no doubt reflect their fear infesting there. No, no, no, no, no, no, this isn't me. I must make the journey. Now, before the madness overtakes me, I must destroy the creatures before I can killed them. All, I could barely put quill to listen. Can't hold out. It's all become so clear now for the first time since coming to the woods. My thoughts are my own and I finally see things without bias. Why should I try to seal these creatures away? Don't they live too? They act on their instincts just as I do. So, why should I impose my will on theirs? No, it is. Those who will certainly chase me down that are wrong. These creatures will usher in a new age of oneness even now they call to me with their sweet voices filled with truth. I will free them from their unjust imprisonment and usher in a new age.
