Barclays was one of the first banks to announce an ambition to be a net zero bank by 2050. And we have a strategy to turn this ambition into action. A key part of our strategy is achieving net zero operations and reducing supply chain emissions. Let's start with our approach to net zero operations, which follows two key principles. The first is replacing our reliance on fossil fuels with low emission alternatives. The second is reducing waste and improving energy efficiency. So let's take a look at our progress so far to replace our reliance on fossil fuels.
