Hi, everyone. Welcome back to another episode of agency life. This's solo episode with me today about a topic that's really, really popular. I'm getting a lot of questions, a lot of interest, and people ask me on a regular basis about the podcast cause it's over a year old now we have recorded, we've gone out live with 41 episodes and we have over 50 recorded eso. It's something that I'm really passionate about. I had no idea how much I was going to love enjoying doing it and how much business it was actually going to generate for gross on DH. So here I want to talk to you about eight reasons to start a podcast for your agency in 20 20. You can watch this on YouTube. I have got some slides to show along with this, or you can listen because I will be describing everything I will go through. So let's just kick this up. If you are thinking about starting a podcast this year, Bush. You think you've missed the boat? The answer to that is it's not too late. The listener numbers are growing every single month, and people who are listening to podcasts has increased over 50% in the last five years, and it's still not at that and saturation point. So there's still a North a lot of opportunity in the market for podcasts. Ad spend is also estimates to grow. So many brands are planning to invest in podcasts on If we look at the numbers from last year over 679 million was spent on ad revenue for podcasts, and that's expected to double in by 2023. So companies air expecting podcast to be there so that they can invest in it as well. So let's get into the reasons Number one. It creates a new marketing channel for your agency. Audio is a great way to connect you with your current clients. Those strengthen the relationships there on with future prospects. It's, um, a really fantastic medium. You're listening to me now. I'm pretty much sure you're not actually working as well. And because the percentage of people that do that I'll share later on and so connecting with your audience in a new way True Audio is a great new marketing channel for your agency. Reason Number two. If you add recording in video to expect you can add that into the audio part you can expand into ah, YouTube channel. So really, by simply recording in zoom with your cameras on not only doesn't improve the connexion you have with your guests so that you can see their eyes and their body language, you're now going to have a video that you can upload and put onto YouTube channel, which is then going to widen your reach to potential new customers. Reason Number three Podcasting can supply an endless amount of evergreen content Now we all know these days it could be difficult to come up with new content ideas for your agency on by recording in audio. On video, you can use snippets of thes both forms of content to post out on social media. You can take transcripts of three shows, and they could be repurposed into block posts into articles on with a solid strategy, you can rank on Google and bring more visitors to your Web sites. Reason number four. You can showcase your expertise in between interviewing guests. You appears in your industry thought leaders in your industry clients on potential guests. You can also do solo episodes to share with your audience your knowledge in your niche. When you solve something for your clients in your agency during the week, you can actually make a note of this and turn it into a topic. You can share these gems on your podcast show. You can also create short tips and, you know, motivation Monday and many five minutes. Strategy. Advice on help existing clients and future prospects. Reason Number five. Now we all know recruitment can be really challenging in the agency world. Another way you could make use of your podcast is by interviewing each member off your team on Get them to talk about the work they do with your clients, what they like about working with the clients in your business and what a great place it is to work in your agency. This way you can put those shows out, and that can be evergreen material to attract ideal people to work in your agency.
